We are proud to announce that Oscar Wilson’s illustration for Canongate Books Gil Scott Heron Memoir: ‘The Last Holiday’ won the Best Jacket Design category at last night’s British Book Awards. The judges commented on the work: “This arresting design evokes 60s counter-culture art in a contemporary and well-realised concept, with front/rear covers and spine working together to create a powerful and effective image.” Oscar worked closely with Art Director Rafi Romaya to deliver this winning piece of work. As a massive fan of soul / funk / jazz music; Oscar was delighted to be involved with the project, and very proud that his first ever typographic portrait was of such a great as Gil Scott Heron. Tado were invited to create this years Halloween installation at the Tai Po Mega Mall in Tai Po, Hong Kong. The 'Halloween Planet' setting included 3D stage props, bespoke large scale fibreglass figures, promotional giveaway items and a lot of ghoulish fun!The pair even had the opportunity to design some special Halloween snacks for the occasion - 'Bloody Finger Fries' anyone??The installation was the centrepiece of the mall's decorations and was the stage for several promotional events.To see more of Tado's work click here.

Joe Wilson has been commissioned by Arrow Films to create the official poster for the new film ‘RAY HARRYHAUSEN: SPECIAL EFFECTS TITAN’, the definitive Harryhausen documentary.Joe was honoured to work on the poster for such a great documentary about an incredible talent, the father of stop frame animation and special effects. For those who don’t know, Ray Harryhausen is a visual effects creator best known for his work on Jason and the Argonauts and the original Clash of the Titans.A version of the poster will also be used for the DVD and Blu-Ray packaging.
