New Artist / Dave White Joins Début Art
We are very pleased to announce a new artist signing today, Mr Dave White.
Born in Liverpool 1971 and having studied Fine Art at Liverpool University (in John Lennon’s old studio), Dave White has enjoyed success from the early inception of his career with his vigorously energetic brand of contemporary Pop Art.
From 2002, Dave White’s work was celebrated for his dedication to a sneaker series, which brought international exhibitions and appearances with companies like Nike who own a series of his work in their corporate collection. His collection was exhibited globally examples including the People’s Square Exhibition Hall in Shanghai to the Atlanta Contemporary Art Centre in the USA.

Christian Gralingen was commissioned by Quarto Publishing to create illustrations for the cover and 45 spreads of a book ‘That was Genius’ about lost knowledge and incredible inventions from history. Author: Emily Dodd. Art Direction was by Alex Hithersay and Maia Fjord. Christian was born in Essen (Germany) and now lives and works as an Art Director and Illustrator, as well as teaching Illustration and Communication Design, in Berlin. He has a diploma in Communication Design from the University Duisburg-Essen (Folkwang). His client list includes design agencies, publishing houses, magazines, academic institutions and foundations. His aesthetics have many influences but are particularly inspired by the imagery of scientific publications, construction plans and technical drawings.

BrewDog has a long history of commissioning cutting-edge illustration for its beers. Early this year it commissioned Début Art represented illustrators Jordi Ros, Simon Prades and Andy Bourne to create imagery for three of its Liquid Visions beers. Art Direction by the great Chris Whyte.
