Biography

Michel Streich was born and educated in Germany. He started his illustration career in London, moving to Australia in 2000. After ten years in Sydney he now lives and works in the Blue Mountains, West of Sydney.

Michel's clients include Rowntree's, Virgin Blue, Qantas, the Royal Mail, Sainsbury’s, The Royal Society of Arts, France Tourism. His work has featured in a variety of magazines and newspapers, among them the Times and Financial Times, the Sydney Morning Herald and the Australian Financial Review.

He has created book illustrations for major book publishers such as Random House, Penguin, Scholastic, Allen & Unwin and Westermann. His own books include the illustrated Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the anti-war children's picture book Grumpy Little King.
