Kim McGillivray is an experienced illustrator who creates distinctive imagery, in a variety of media, for a host of international clients in publishing, press, design & advertising. His work in an ongoing exploration of mixed media imagery, thoughtfully matched to content.
Kim has provided illustrations to complement writing by Iain Banks, Muriel Spark, Peter Carey, Irvine Welsh and Gil Scott Heron- amongst numerous others. Many years of experience mean that Kim can absorb a text and thoughtfully translate it into an effective cover or feature illustration.
He has, additionally, created weekly editorial illustrations for national newspapers that were conceived, written and illustrated by himself. Whatever the level of visual / conceptual contribution that you require, Kim strives to make a difference to every challenge he embarks upon. Looking ahead, Kim is keen to explore the creative potential of new platforms and how imagery can enhance users’ experiences.
