Jurgen Ziewe started producing 3d illustrations when this media was still in its infancy in 1993, and in the nineties, millions of his digitally generated consumer posters were sold worldwide. As a result a folio book of his mainly fantasy orientated work was published in 1997 by Collins & Brown. Since then he has further developed his style to bring a lyrical element to the latest 3D modelling technologies. His 3D imaging skills cover all areas of the natural world including landscapes, animals and vegetation.

Jurgen also uses advanced rendering engines which are based on the physics of real light rather than simulation. Its algorithms and equations reproduce the behaviour of light in a completely accurate way. All elements such as light emitters, material shaders and cameras, are entirely based on physically accurate models, which makes it hard to distinguish CG generated images from real life photography. As well as using tradition 3D illustration skills he has expanded his expertise into virtual reality walk-through projects such as the Oculus Rift

Some of Jurgen's global clients include Canon, Kodak, American Express, Lego, Coventry Building Society, Sainsbury’s, Woolwich, Bayer, Norwich Union, Bank of Scotland, Schroders, Siemens, Apple Inc, Edinburgh Fund Managers, Legal & General, BP, 3M, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin (Music), Ministry of Sound, US Army, Audi, Verizon, London Paralympics 2012

His publishing clients include Readers Digest, Dorling Kindersley, Penguin, Hodder Headline, MacMillan, Kingfisher, Quercus, Pearson, Weldon Owen. He worked for magazines such as Sunday Times Magazine, Financial Times, Radio Times, Der Spiegel, Wired, Men’s Health, Men's Fitness, Investors Chronicle, Which? and a number of trade magazines.
