Jon Burgerman makes vibrant, neo primitive scrawls of shapes and colour. Jon Burgerman has pushed his monster-like characters into compositions where cartoon-like forms are crammed on top of each until they create a screaming mass of energy. Intensely prolific, Jon Burgerman has pushed the character obsession of the late 90s into a far more interesting and strong direction. Think Walt Disney at an Incan monument on mescaline.

Jon Burgerman has built a strong reputation through his unique and colourful artworks of swooping, intertwining lines and hyper-emotional characters. Working across a variety of media that includes drawing, painting, print, animation, large scale murals and toy design, Jon Burgermans art retains a hand-made, hand-drawn quality. A sense of British self-deprecation, dry humour and modern-day anxiety imbues his work along with an enthusiasm for salads.

Jon Burgerman has exhibited internationally since 2001 with his work in the permanent collections of The Victoria and Albert Museum and The Science Museum in London. Jon regularly gives lectures at Universities and has presented his work at the prestigious Pictoplasma Character Design Conference (Berlin, 2006) where he also ran a 'doodling' workshop for the entire audience.

Jon Burgerman has received a D&AD Silver Award nomination for his work for Levis and has worked on many commercial projects for high profile organisations, such as: BBC, SONY, KidRobot, Aol., The Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, MTV, SKY, 55DSL, Diesel, Levis, Gortex, Puma, Miss Sixty, Size?, Nike, Cadbury, Rip Curl, Tiger Beer, Virgin Atlantic, Pepsi, Science Museum, IKEA, Coca-Cola, IDN, Posca, Concrete Hermit, Hasbro and an appearance on Blue Peter.

Jon Burgerman received a D+AD Silver nomination for his work with Levis in 2004. Mr Burgerman customised A0 sized leatherette patches which were then hung in their flagship stores around Europe.

Mr Burgerman also received a D+AD nomination for his illustration work for Virgin HR in 2008, for a Human Resources Bible that was produced.
