Born in Scotland in1975 Carol Del Angel has been working as a freelance illustrator since 2004 and now lives near London. Her relationship with pencil and paper started at an early age when she spent more time in school copying illustrations from textbooks than doing school work. Carol Del Angel has lived in both Mexico and London and worked as a freelance Illustrator for the past 8 years.

Carol Del Angel uses a healthy mix of both traditional and digital mark making techniques but her work is predominantly digital. From collage to drawing, she creates original artwork combining vector, pen and ink, and, now and then, a little watercolour or photography. Eclectic but well considered, her work is built on an interest in people, nature, typography, fashion, pop culture, found paper and pattern.

Through her work Carol has been lucky enough to work within a range of media including editorials, advertising, book covers, animation and packaging. Carol has also had the opportunity to work with some lovely creative people who continue to inspire her.
