in 1985 Début Art specialises
in the worldwide representation and marketing of ninety-four of the world's best new media and traditional media illustrators.
All
the artists represented have been selected because they offer a combination of
genuinely original visual aesthetics, an ability to create artful yet appropriate
visual solutions for the advertising, design and publishing fields coupled
with the highest standards of professional reliability and image-making versatility.
The agency's objective is to represent original image
makers only -artist illustrators whose work is under-pinned by a cogent and
progressive philosophical approach. In short, image-makers who are 'driving'
at things they believe in.

The Coningsby Gallery (established in 1994) is based
in the same building as Début Art in the heart of London's West End.
The Gallery provides a fine art 'retail' outlet from which our image-makers
can sell both their original artworks and limited edition prints as well as market
their work to commission.
The gallery
also attracts a wide variety of
leading illustrators and other contemporary
image- makers who are not represented by Début Art but nevertheless
wish to exhibit in our gallery. The gallery has it's own unique and
extensive databases of commissioning
clients, private buyers and a regularly
up-
dated on-line press/art journalist listing
clients and private art
